Park and Ride

Simple and affordable

Want to avoid the hassle of parking in town? Need to cross the city but don’t want to have to change bus? Hoping to save money? The Park & Ride is a great alternative! It’s surprisingly cheap compared to parking costs in Oxford. And for the first three months of the temporary congestion charge, bus travel to and from the city for drivers parking at Park and Ride sites is free of charge for up to two adults and three children under 16.

There are currently five Park & Ride sites around Oxford’s ring road: Pear Tree and Oxford Parkway in the north, Seacourt in the west, Redbridge in the south, and Thornhill in the east. So that means you can get all the way from Blackbird Leys to Kidlington, or Abingdon Road to Summertown without changing buses.

All sites have a bus route that connects them to the city centre in 15 to 20 minutes outside of peak times, as well as cycle parking for easy biking into town.

See the Park & Ride website for more information about how many parking spaces and which amenities, such as electric vehicle charging, toilets and a waiting room, are available at each site.
