Park & Ride

Simple and affordable

Want to avoid the hassle of parking in town? Hoping to save money? Don’t want to worry about changing traffic policies? The Park & Ride is a great alternative! And it’s surprisingly cheap compared to parking costs in Oxford.

There are currently five Park & Ride sites around Oxford’s ring road: Pear Tree and Oxford Parkway in the north, Seacourt in the west, Redbridge in the south, and Thornhill in the east. All sites have a bus route that connects them to the city centre in 15 to 20 minutes outisde of peak times, as well as cycle parking for easy biking into town.

See the Park & Ride site for more information about how many parking spaces and which amenities, such as electric vehicle charging, toilets and a waiting room, are available at each site.

  • If you’re only parking for the day, you can get 16 hours of parking and return bus tickets for 1 adult and up to 3 children for £4, and for 2 adults and up to 3 children for £5.

  • For £45 per month, £115 per quarter, or £380 per year, you can get unlimited parking at any and all of Oxford’s five Park & Ride sites.

If you cycle or walk from the Park & Ride, you wouldn’t have to pay anything more. Cycle parking is available at all Park & Ride sites.

You can of course also take the bus from any Park & Ride site. Discounted parking permits are available if you have already purchased a monthly, quarterly, or annual CityZone or SmartZone bus pass. And if you have an older person’s bus pass, you can ride the bus into town for free.

  • Blue Badge holders can park for free at any of Oxford's Park & Ride sites. Concessionary bus passes for disabled people are also accepted on Park & Ride buses. See the bus section for more information about the accessibility of Oxford's buses, including the Park & Ride buses.
